Springfield Tavern

Located within one of South East Queensland’s fastest-growing corridors, the Springfield Tavern serves as a key social anchor for a rapidly evolving community. C+W’s refurbishment repositions the venue through a cohesive reworking of the gaming room, sports bar and bistro/function areas—establishing a refreshed identity aligned with its local context.

The design centres on a warm, grounded palette layered with integrated greenery, introducing softness, depth and a more relaxed atmosphere. Planting operates as a spatial device, shaping zones and softening transitions across the venue.

The sports bar draws on the region’s strong sporting culture—particularly golf—through subtle material and tonal references rather than overt theming. In the bistro and function areas, flexibility is prioritised, with layered lighting and varied seating supporting a range of uses from casual dining to larger gatherings.

Measured, contemporary interventions unify the venue, transforming it into a more inviting and locally resonant hospitality environment.
