Prince of Wales Hotel

The Prince of Wales Hotel

The Prince of Wales Hotel in Nundah has been thoughtfully reimagined through a comprehensive refurbishment that revitalises the venue’s bistro, gaming and sports bar, alongside a complete renewal of the Nightcap Motel accommodation. The project brings a contemporary hospitality experience to one of Brisbane’s long-standing suburban landmarks, balancing modern amenity with the character expected of a well-known local hotel.

Located within Nundah Village, the Prince of Wales has played a role in the suburb’s social fabric since the mid-19th century. Established during a period when Nundah was emerging as an important commercial centre for Brisbane’s north, the hotel has evolved alongside the surrounding community, continually adapting to changing hospitality trends while remaining a familiar meeting place for locals.

C+W’s design approach carefully reconsiders the venue as a cohesive hospitality destination. Across the bistro, gaming and sports bar areas, new layouts, finishes and lighting introduce a refined yet welcoming atmosphere that supports contemporary patron experiences. The Nightcap Motel has also been completely overhauled, with renewed guest rooms and amenity spaces designed to deliver a calm, comfortable short-stay environment that complements the activity of the hotel below.

The refurbishment positions the Prince of Wales Hotel for its next chapter, reinforcing its place within Nundah’s village precinct while presenting a fresh, contemporary identity shaped through C+W’s hospitality-focused design.
